Every lasting success has a hidden principle behind it—a divine secret that propels it forward. In Part 2 of this powerful series, “Obedience is the Secret,” Apostle Chinedu C. 1. The Mystery Behind Success
Everything that works—truly works—has a secret behind it. Anything without a secret will not last. Before you envy someone’s success, first ask yourself: What is working for them? Success is not by chance or force—it is a choice, often rooted in obedience to divine instructions.
We are reminded that not all labor yields favour. While hard work has its place, it’s not the ultimate key. Apostle Chinedu emphasizes the importance of smart work, wisdom-led work, and most importantly, obedience-led living. The truth remains: the level you are at today reflects either the prayers you prayed or the ones you neglected.
2. Obedience: The Mark of Faith
According to Scripture, obedience is not merely verbal; it is demonstrated through action. Faith and obedience are inseparable. In fact, obedience is the visible proof that you believe God. Abraham is a prime example—when God spoke, he didn’t argue or delay. He acted, trusting a God he had never seen. That kind of obedience pleases God more than fasting, praying or giving.
As Apostle Chinedu stated, “Delayed obedience is disobedience.” Any hesitation, argument or postponement in responding to God’s command reflects doubt and dishonour.
3. The Weight of Disobedience
What truly angers God? Disobedience.
What brings joy to His heart? Obedience.
God doesn’t assess us by how loudly we pray or how long we fast. He evaluates our hearts based on how quickly and completely we obey Him. This is why Scripture emphasizes that those who are faithful in following their earthly leaders are often better positioned to obey God. If you can’t obey who you see, how will you obey the One you can’t see?

When you have made plans to do something or go somewhere and God asks you not to go, will you obey?
4. The Impact of Obedience
Walking in obedience does more than align us with God—it empowers us to represent Him. You become an ambassador of Heaven when you follow divine instructions. Doors that seemed impossible will open at the sound of your voice, not because of who you are, but because you walk in sync with the One who holds all power.
Satan understands the power of obedience. That’s why his greatest agenda is to cause us to rebel against God. The one you obey becomes your master, and that is the core of our spiritual warfare.
5. God’s Voice Vs Satan’s Voice
God may speak once, but His voice carries peace (Psalm 62:11). Satan speaks repeatedly, loudly and with confusion. That’s why discernment is key. When God speaks, even if it’s quiet, there is clarity and peace. And when you respond with obedience, He steps to the front and becomes your guide (Isaiah 30:21).
Conclusion
Obedience is not convenient. It’s not always comfortable. But it is powerful. It is the divine secret that unlocks heaven’s favor, guidance, and provision. As Apostle Chinedu so clearly preached, “Nothing ends struggle on earth like walking in obedience.”
Today, let us realign our hearts. May we choose obedience—not because it’s easy, but because it is right. And in doing so, may we step into the fullness of what God has prepared for those who truly love Him.
