How To Get Answers

Opening Scripture

I have set watchmen upon thy walls, O Jerusalem, which shall never hold their peace day nor night: ye that make mention of the Lord, keep not silence, And give him no rest, till he establish, and till he make Jerusalem a praise in the earth – Isaiah 62:6-7 (KJV)

Introduction

Many believers pray. But not every believer gets answers. Why?

In this soul-stirring teaching titled “HOW TO GET ANSWERS”, we were reminded that prayer is not just about words—it is a spiritual system for unlocking divine intervention. Yet, for many, the frustration of unanswered prayer is real. The truth? God still answers prayers, but we must engage the process correctly.

This message uncovers spiritual keys that shift prayer from routine to result. If you’ve ever asked, “Why haven’t I seen results?”—this is for you.

1. The Reality of Unanswered Prayer

Many people have reduced prayer to a daily routine—something we do to feel spiritual or stay in God’s “good books.” But prayer is not a ritual, it is a legal transaction in the spirit. It is the system by which man partners with God to influence earthly outcomes. But here’s the issue: most people stop praying when they don’t see results the first time.

One of the most dangerous spiritual habits is quitting too soon. Consistency and persistence in prayer are not optional—they are required. The spiritual realm often responds to those who continue knocking, not those who knock once and walk away.

2. Understanding The Spiritual Mechanics of Prayer

Prayer is more than pouring out your emotions. There is a way to enter, a way to engage, and a way to receive.

Many prayers go unanswered, not because God is unwilling, but because we’ve missed the structure. Most people rush into prayer with heavy hearts, complaints, or bitterness. But the Bible clearly shows us that praise is the gateway. Entering with joy and worship opens spiritual access. You must create an atmosphere where heaven is welcome.

Also, many speak in tongues for hours yet make no specific request. Tongues stir the spirit, but if there’s no request, there’s no response. Divine communication requires clarity. God is ready to respond, but what are you asking for?

“A place of prayer that brings answers is a place of consistency and persistence.”

3. Prayer Is Not Enough

A major truth the church must embrace is that prayer alone is not enough to succeed. While prayer unlocks the spiritual, it is wisdom, knowledge and action that manifest results on earth.

Some people are full of spiritual energy but lack understanding. They pray day and night yet remain in the same condition because their wisdom tank is empty. Others have already received answers in prayer but fail to recognize or act on them due to ignorance.

The Bible says, “My people perish for lack of knowledge.” God’s Word and wisdom guide us to manage divine answers properly. Without it, even answered prayers can be lost opportunities.

4. Breaking Foundations & Cycles

Some of the biggest obstacles to answered prayer are spiritual foundations and limitations inherited from our backgrounds. These don’t go away with short, casual prayers. You don’t break deep ancestral patterns in 10 seconds. It takes focused, persistent, and burdened prayer to disconnect from what held your lineage captive.

Breakthrough happens when prayer becomes a burden, not just a duty. Burden makes you linger in prayer until something breaks. It’s not about shouting louder—it’s about praying deeper.

5. From The Prayer Room To The Action Field

After you pray, you must move. God responds to prayers, but the world responds to action. What good is revelation if there’s no execution? What good is divine instruction if there’s no earthly obedience?

Prayer opens the door, but action walks you through it. Many believers are stuck spiritually because they wait endlessly for a breakthrough they are supposed to walk into.

6. Conclusion: The Prayer That Gets Answers

Getting answers is not a mystery—it is a system. The key lies in persistent prayer, right knowledge, wisdom and action. You must learn how to enter, how to request, and how to respond when God answers. Because yes—He is still answering.

If your prayer life has felt dry, ineffective, or frustrating, this is your call to re-engage—but this time, with knowledge, strategy and faith.
